Long Island Center for Healthier Dentistry is a unique dental office. We have an entire staff of happy, friendly, and caring people. When you walk through our doors, you will quickly feel our positive energy. We are fully committed to your comfort and always focused on your overall health.
Our dental office provides exceptional dental care with a focus on phobic and holistic dentistry. Most dentists find these two groups of patients “annoying” to treat. LI Center for Healthier Dentistry is a place where these patients will find understanding, compassion, empathy, and a home. We will do everything possible to exceed the expectations of our patients and treat them like family. Our doors are open to everyone.
Our Core Values
These are the values we hold dear, and they are the foundation of our purpose:
Caring Kindness Empathy Understanding
Compassion Comfort Warmth Friendliness
Sympathy Professionalism Exceeding people's expectation
Our philosophy is that the natural tooth should be the blueprint for tooth restoration. We take a holistic approach to dental care: the mouth is part of a complex and intricate digestive, sensory, and communication system. Keeping our mouth healthy helps keep our body healthy and vise-versa. Materials used in our office will not harm or interfere with the natural order or function of the human body. Our patients will see, feel, smell, and hear the difference when they step through our doors.
By the end of 2015, we will double the size of our practice, allowing us to help more people by increasing our capacity to treat patients. Dr. Shvartsman will personally train and mentor selected dentists and standardize his dental model. By 2018, we will be known as the premier dental practice on Long Island that focuses on phobic and holistic dental patients. Our focus on comfort and our holistic dental approach committed to minimally-invasive and tooth-conserving dentistry will be known all over Long Island. Patients will flock to our practice!

The Dentist's Dentist
Ever wonder where other dentists go when they need dental care? Dr. Shvartsman is the one other dentists, dental hygienists, dental ceramists, and dental assistants trust with their smiles. He is well respected by his peers and is known for his masterful ability to recreate the natural form and aesthetic of a tooth. Some dentists come in from other states to be treated by Dr. Shvartsman!
Commitment To Education
Dentistry is changing at a rapid pace. Commitment to Continuing Education (CE) is how Dr. Shvartsman and his staff stay on the cutting edge of dentistry. Dr. Shvartsman is one of the youngest American dentists to earn the prestigious Mastership Award in the Academy of General Dentistry and is the first and only accredited member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. He routinely takes between fifty and seventy-five hours of Continuing Education per year, and he serves as a Peer Reviewing Dentist for the Journal of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Focus On Prevention
Equally important to our dental practice is the prevention of disease, including oral and whole-body diseases. Dr. Shvartsman has designed an Oil Pulling Rinse that is used to help prevent and treat gum disease. It is available for purchase at this link:
